Air force command releases the press explaining the work of “artificial rain” implemented today (13th) (April 13th, 2017)

In order to relief the water shortage condition in southern Taiwan, air force command evaluates that the weather is favorable to artificial rainfall operation according to the application of Water Resource Department and various data.  The command has assigned 2 C-130H aircrafts in Pingtung Base to carry out artificial rainfall procedures on air above Chiayi and Tainan this dawn (13th).  It is expected to increase the rainfall on reservoir area.  Air force command stresses that it will continuously seize the weather condition and cooperates closely with Water Resource Department of MOEA to plan the best time for artificial rainfall procedures to the hope of moderating the drought.
